{"id":715,"date":"2026-02-21T22:15:23","date_gmt":"2026-02-21T21:15:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/beastie\/vecina-zena-odustane-od-vjezbanja-i-bolje-prehrane-zato-jer-nema-podrsku\/"},"modified":"2026-05-24T18:58:58","modified_gmt":"2026-05-24T16:58:58","slug":"most-women-give-up-because-they-lack-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marinabosnjakovic.com\/en\/most-women-give-up-because-they-lack-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Most Women Give Up on Exercise and \u201cEating Better\u201d Because They Lack Support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m sure there has been at least one time in your life when you decided to improve your eating habits and start exercising.<\/p>\n<p>Then your colleagues offered you biscuits at work.<\/p>\n<p>At a family lunch, you felt like you \u201chad\u201d to eat dessert.<\/p>\n<p>And when you suggest going for a walk, the other person would rather sit in a caf\u00e9 and have coffee.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s one of the most common reasons women give up on exercise and healthier eating\u2014not because it\u2019s difficult, but because they constantly encounter obstacles.<\/p>\n<p>And often, a lack of understanding.<\/p>\n<p>Before working with me, my clients were anything but lazy.<\/p>\n<p>They weren\u2019t lacking motivation.<\/p>\n<p>They weren\u2019t lacking determination.<\/p>\n<p>What they were lacking was support.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, many of them felt constant pressure from the people around them and often gave in, even when they didn\u2019t really want to.<\/p>\n<p>They skipped workouts.<\/p>\n<p>They ate the extra slice of cake.<\/p>\n<p>They didn\u2019t get their daily steps in.<\/p>\n<p>All for the sake of keeping the peace, avoiding hurt feelings, or simply because they needed support rather than resistance.<\/p>\n<h3>Social pressure can sometimes be worse than high school peer pressure!<\/h3>\n<p>Yesterday, I went to a workout with a long-term client who has since become a close friend.<\/p>\n<p>After that, I had a consultation with another client\u2014we walked around the lake together.<\/p>\n<p>And once again, the same thing became clear.<\/p>\n<p>For most women, the challenge isn\u2019t doing a workout.<\/p>\n<p>Nor is it preparing healthy meals.<\/p>\n<p>The real challenge is maintaining those habits over the long term.<\/p>\n<p>Because when you start changing your habits, it\u2019s not just your food choices or your schedule that changes.<\/p>\n<p>Your relationship with the people around you changes too.<\/p>\n<p>Because when you decide to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bring your own lunch to work<\/li>\n<li>Go to the gym instead of meeting for coffee<\/li>\n<li>Go for a walk instead of watching TV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8230;you often won\u2019t find many people willing to join you.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, you\u2019ll hear comments like:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can have a drink\u2014it won\u2019t hurt you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can skip one workout.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGo on, have another slice of cake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And you can.<\/p>\n<p>But you don\u2019t want to.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, I\u2019ve worked with more than 2,000 women, and I completely understand how difficult it can be not to give in. As women, we\u2019re often taught to fit in and seek approval from others.<\/p>\n<p>Because the moment you start doing something differently from the majority, you\u2019re labelled as attention-seeking, accused of showing off, laughed at, or talked about behind your back.<\/p>\n<p>Or simply, the people closest to you no longer want to take part in the activities you\u2019d like to dedicate more time to.<\/p>\n<p>Many women over 40 feel somewhat lonely.<\/p>\n<p>A large number of my clients tell me that their friends don\u2019t want to exercise.<\/p>\n<p>They don\u2019t want to go for walks.<\/p>\n<p>And when they want to treat themselves and go out for lunch, the choice is often pizza, barbecue, and cake.<\/p>\n<p>People who prefer staying in their comfort zone are rarely going to invite you to a workout or a walk.<\/p>\n<p>But they\u2019ll happily invite you for coffee.<\/p>\n<p>Because it\u2019s easy and requires no effort.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why I often think about how difficult it is for women who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>don\u2019t have support at home<\/li>\n<li>don\u2019t have friends who share similar values<\/li>\n<li>don\u2019t have someone who truly understands them<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I often tell the story of one of my clients who recently moved to Germany for work.<\/p>\n<p>At the beginning of the programme, she explained very clearly that she didn\u2019t want to bring her own lunch to work because she already felt like an outsider in a foreign country\u2014and she was afraid it would make her feel even more isolated.<\/p>\n<p>These aren\u2019t excuses.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re real-life situations that can make motivation and determination even harder to maintain.<\/p>\n<p>In today\u2019s world, where we have less and less time for ourselves and often receive less support from those around us, the need for professional guidance is greater than ever.<\/p>\n<p>For community.<\/p>\n<p>For women who are in a similar situation to yours.<\/p>\n<p>Who share the same goals.<\/p>\n<p>And who face the same challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Support is not a luxury.<\/p>\n<p>Guidance is not a weakness.<\/p>\n<p>Community is not a bonus.<\/p>\n<p>These are often the key differences between giving up and staying consistent.<\/p>\n<p>Between constantly starting over and creating real, lasting change.<\/p>\n<h3>An online programme, when designed properly and adapted to your life, is not just another diet on paper.<\/h3>\n<p>It\u2019s not a generic workout plan that may not fit your schedule.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not something that requires you to spend hours in a gym you don\u2019t enjoy or don\u2019t have time for.<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t have to.<\/p>\n<p>And you don\u2019t have to do it alone.<\/p>\n<p>Because when you find the right programme, you gain a process where someone sees the bigger picture\u2014your lifestyle, schedule, responsibilities and possibilities.<\/p>\n<p>Someone who adapts the plan to you.<\/p>\n<p>And who supports you when motivation fades\u2014because at some point, it always does.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, I received one of the nicest compliments from a woman who regularly follows my content.<\/p>\n<p>She told me that my programme feels like it\u2019s designed for \u201creal people\u201d\u2014that it delivers results without unnecessary restrictions and through a simple, practical approach.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s exactly what <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/marinabosnjakovic.com\/en\/programs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Real Life Forma<\/a><\/strong><\/em> is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A programme you don\u2019t have to wait for the \u201cperfect time\u201d to start\u2014because that time rarely comes<\/li>\n<li>A programme that is simple and realistic to follow<\/li>\n<li>A programme where you can still achieve excellent results even if life doesn\u2019t always go according to plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>My goal has never been to force women into exercising or convince them they should eat better.<\/p>\n<p>But for those who want to make a change and simply don\u2019t know where to start, I can be there so they don\u2019t have to do it all alone.<\/p>\n<p>And so they don\u2019t give up.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m sure there has been at least one time in your life when you decided to improve your eating habits and start exercising.
