If You’re a Woman Over 35, Strength Training Should Be a Priority

As much as I personally believe—and live by the idea—that age is just a number, things do change after 35:

  • muscle mass naturally declines
  • hormones function differently
  • recovery becomes more complex
  • the risk of osteoporosis and joint pain increases

But the good news is that you can influence all of these things.

And that’s exactly why strength training isn’t optional—it’s a priority.

Yes, every form of physical activity is valuable, and movement is fantastic for mental health.

But strength training is a MUST because:

  • strong muscles help protect your bones and joints
  • muscle mass supports metabolism and helps with body fat loss
  • greater strength means more energy, better posture and less pain
  • strength training contributes to more stable hormones and a higher quality of life

And no—it’s not “just” about appearance.

Although that’s certainly a nice bonus.

It’s about being able to:

✅ carry your own shopping bags

✅ climb stairs without getting out of breath

✅ play with your children or grandchildren without worrying about injury

✅ stay strong, capable and independent

Choose a training programme that suits you and helps you build strength while supporting your health.

And of course—a great reflection in the mirror doesn’t hurt either 😎.
